Each illustration shows the life cycle and parts of the plant, including root, flower, leaf and seed. Each page has an accompanying information page which gives growing zones and habitat, botanical and common names, uses, precautions, major phytochemistry compounds, energetics, qualities, recipes and research references. The book is meant to include a short summary of all these aspects of plant medicine in one easy-to-access format.
